I don't know why I lost my temper like that, it was utterly ridiculous and you didn't deserve that, but once I started I just couldn't back down.

I don't know either, but once you did, I lost mine as well. I just...[. . . .]....it hurt, and I wanted you to hurt also. I wasn't thinking, I was just speaking and it...it wasn't fair to you. Or true.

Oh, you know... Fine, really. Still dealing with unwanted guests. The city's being chaotic as always, but that's helped me lie low, so. You know.

And... on your end?

That never hurts. Lying low, that is, when it's warrented. [as for him] Things are alright. Being mayor is both incredibly rewarding and exhausting. There are a lot of hands to shake and schools to visit and ribbons to cut but...[he hesitates for a moment]...it feels like I'm doing something my mother would've been proud of.

...I'm sure she would be.

I...hope so. Also it leaves something a little cleaner, at least on the surface, to my father's name as well.

[enigmaster]
