[Ivy looks rather pleased by that agreement] Absolutely. [she glances at the clock] Anyway, I figured I'd come get you because it's just about time for dinner. And we can't be late!

[Edward briefly glances at his computer, but then looks back at Ivy and nods.]

Yes, very well. Let's be on our way, then.

[Dinner that evening is similar to always, though Edward does get a bit more attention than normal, Ivy urging him to tell the story again, Oswald and Butch throwing in a couple choice moments from their perspective. And, as a surprise, the meal is finished off with dessert: a slice of rich chocolate cake for everyone. Sugar, much less chocolate, is very hard to come by out here, so the fact that he not only has it, but managed to make a cake of it, speaks to the expense.]
