[Edward just laughs. It's not loud, but he sounds a little more lively, now. It's a big improvement, compared to the start of this conversation.]

[Oh. That's good. That's better. The corner of Oswald's mouth quirks at that, and he smiles]

Only you would be okay with that sort of thing. Stuck in a classroom forever.

[enigmaster]

I'd pick a different one, though. Maybe this one. [He looks up a little, looking around the Astronomy Tower.] Lots of stars to look at forever. I mean, even I'd get tired of Professor Binns' droning.

It is pretty nice up here. We could make a ghost pillow fort or something.

[enigmaster]

Sounds like a good time.

[He goes... slightly quiet again, though trying to keep his voice light.]

I definitely wouldn't mind just... staying here, I think. There's worse places to be.

[Edward doesn't say anything, for a little bit. Then he checks his watch.]

...I have Arithmancy in about half an hour. [...] But I'm thinking I might just... skip it.

[Which is something that Edward would usually never say.]

[Oswald's eyebrows arch upwards at that, climbing up towards his hairline] ...yeah?

[enigmaster]

Yeah.

[He breathes out.]

Yeah, I mean... Screw it. Why not?

I mean, if you...if you wanna. We definitely can. [it's...very unlike Edward. But Oswald's gonna roll with it for now] Do you want to stay here? Or go elsewhere?

[enigmaster]

I don't know. I'm... Whatever's fine, honestly. If you wanna go somewhere.

I just... [He knows it's weird. Especially considering this is his favorite class they're talking about.] I don't think I'm really... feeling it. I guess.

[agoodname]

That's...I mean, that's cool. You can stand to miss a day, considering your grades.

[he squeezes him gently again] Maybe we could go down to the lake. Skip some stones or something.

[enigmaster]

Mhm.

[He's not exactly constantly skipping class, so who cares. And, really, the staff kind of owes him a break today.]

...Yeah. That sounds kind of nice. I think I like the sound of that.

Yeah? [the corner of Oswald's mouth quirks--and he's letting Edward go to push to his feet, holding out a hand to help him up] Let's go, then.

[enigmaster]

[Edward takes Oswald's hand, standing up. And he smiles again. He looks a little tired, still, but still... a lot better, in a way.] Yeah, alright.

[Right he'll just...get him out of the astronomy tower, then, and out into some fresh air, and distract Edward as much as possible from whatever this is.]
