[another long moment--and then Oswald is jerking back against the wall, behind the windowsill. Another second, and then the light inside goes dark. And Oswald lets out a breath, sighing. He tilts his head back a moment against the wall, eyes closed, as if committing whatever that was to memory...before he tilts his head back down to answer the text]
[Edward waits, one moment or two more, before he goes and marches to the other alley. When he arrives, he looks down at the ground and picks up the nearest small object. A can, as it turns out.
Then he throws it up at the fire escape.
Despite him being a spindly nerd, Edward has great aim.]
[Not expecting Edward to come into the alley, much less throw a can at him, Oswald startles pretty badly, the metal of the fire escape rattling as he scrambles to his feet, leaning over the railing as Edward shouts at him. For a moment, he only stares, blinking owlishly as he leans over the railing to look down at him.]
Ah--I'm...[which is when those words sink in] Oh. I thought--I thought you were talking about me getting caught.
Wait--wait, so you used your cameras to watch me from the next alley over and then texted me when you could've just walked over here and talked to me?!
[Oswald barely sees the can in time--and squawks, actually squawks, barely ducking out of the way in time--before he's back at the railing, glaring down]
[this time he sees it coming and jerks his cane up into his hand, swinging it like a baseball bat and hitting the can with enough force to have it slam into the other wall of the alley and....fall five stories to the ground--and Oswald has a moment to be surprised, before he leans back over the railing, triumphant.]
[and thus Oswald's triumphant expression transforms back into that petulant, childish face] Well--good! It should be! Next one will be aimed for your head!

Because he's not going to be an asshole and interrupt this when Oswald looks like this, okay. Like. He COULD, but he won't, because fuck it.]

They got in a small water fight over the dishes.

I meant I'm worried about you, you idiot!

Were you here this whole time?
no subject
I was in the next alley over!
no subject
[edward wtf]
no subject
Will you get down from there already?!
no subject
And you didn't answer my question!
no subject
I can start throwing more things!
no subject
[he does roll his eyes, though, dramatically, pointedly]
Oooooh, you're going to throw things at me, I'm so scared.
no subject
This time he's aiming for you, Oswald.]
no subject
Hey--cut that out!
no subject
[It's an alley, there's plenty of trash, HE HAS A LOT OF AMMO. HE THROWS ANOTHER CAN.]
no subject
Edward--! [he's going to bend down to scoop up that can and just...throw it back down. His aim is not nearly as good] Answer my question!
no subject
Well, with such a terrible assault coming my way, how could I not?
OH WAIT. EASILY!
no subject
Come up here and say that, you walking, talking string bean!
no subject
[HEY GUESS WHAT ANOTHER THROW.]
But then I guess you'd know that feeling!
no subject
Ha!
no subject
Yes, well done! I'm sure the ground is very impressed!
[That was actually pretty good but like hell he's gonna give Oswald that one.]
